From the Judges, on Alone (2026)

From the Judges, on Alone

Grief and vulnerability sit at the centre of this micro short, and the panel found it a tense, emotionally grounded piece. The lead performance drew warm praise for its naturalism, a fear that felt tangible and believable rather than theatrical. Moody lighting and tight camera angles built atmosphere and tension across the whole film, with the environment used well to shape each scene.

Curated, anonymised highlights drawn from the judges' notes.
