As a Griffith University student studying a Bachelor of Film and Screen Media Production, she has dedicated herself to improving her film knowledge and skills to expand her experience and embark on a career in the film industry. Through Dear Moon, she was able to utilise her communication skills to work collaboratively, thus cultivating her unique perspective of grief.

From the Judges, on Dear Moon (2026)

From the Judges, on Dear Moon

A quiet, unhurried piece that lets grief sit in the room with you and leaves you somewhere hopeful. The panel was moved by how much it says through small things: bokeh through a rainy car window, candlelight and a single overhead lamp building a warm amber and black palette, long looks at food that carry the weight of shared tradition. Understated performances and smooth, well-paced cutting between memory and present day give it a real sense of being there in the quiet moments.

Curated, anonymised highlights drawn from the judges' notes.
