From the Judges, on Raging Midlife
An absurdist comedy rooted in a distinct Portland personality, this feature swings for a bold, risk-taking premise and lands it through committed ensemble playing. The direction carries a whacky, ambitious vision with real drive, backed by dynamic camerawork that ranges from car chases to smooth dolly work and a memorable rollercoaster one-shot. Vibrant production values and a playful blend of slapstick and heart give the whole thing a lively, generous spark.
