From the Judges, on Hail Of Bullets (2021)

From the Judges, on Hail Of Bullets

A warm, lived-in read that leaves you thinking about the people you keep close. Its layers of drama build genuine tension and hold onto their believability all the way through, and the bonding over a video game gives the whole thing a modern, recognisable texture. The panel felt real emotional weight in a story about staying connected with loved ones.

Curated, anonymised highlights drawn from the judges' notes.
