A tender family story about a father and daughter finding their way toward a new shape of home, this film drew warm admiration from the panel for its visual craft. Sweeping locations and richly colourful costume design carry the emotion as much as the dialogue does, and the lead performance struck them as genuinely moving. It struck the panel as storytelling that invites you to care, beautifully realised from the first frame to the last.
