Biography

Naomi writes character-driven stories across a range of genres, from dark comedy and drama to thrillers and the occasional story that stubbornly refuses to fit neatly into a box. She’s drawn to flawed, funny and complicated people, and to those moments that reveal who we really are when nobody - or perhaps everybody - is watching.

Her work has screened internationally and picked up awards along the way, giving her the encouragement to keep doing the thing she loves most: writing stories in the hope of seeing them make the leap from page to screen. She is currently preparing to direct her third short film, while continuing to develop a growing slate of feature screenplays and television projects.

When she isn’t acting, writing or plotting the next film, Naomi occasionally writes theatre reviews, paints when the mood strikes, and can often be found at the gym - partly to keep fit, but mostly to give her overactive brain somewhere else to go.

A long-time supporter of the creative community, Naomi has served on industry boards, volunteered with arts organisations and trained with some of the industry’s most respected mentors. She is represented by Daniel Scharf at Profile Creative for acting and is currently seeking literary representation, producing partners and collaborators who are drawn to bold, character-led stories with heart, humour and a little bite.

There is always another story brewing somewhere between the notebook, the laptop and the coffee machine.
