A two-hander about love and its complications, unfolding across a foreign setting, this feature drew warm attention for its craft. Its cinematography impressed the panel, with lighting used to real effect, and the costume design sat naturally within the world of the story. It struck them as a film built on strong production values, holding interest with just two characters at its centre.
