A beautifully composed song sits at the centre of this short, carried by vocals and an acting performance that hold the frame with ease. The panel responded to the clarity of the central idea, that everyday sensation of watching your life play out to a soundtrack and then being jolted back into the room by reality. The dream sequences and the falling-curtain moment stayed with them, the music and the images moving together in a way that felt considered.
