Costume and production design carry this short into a world of its own, dressed with care and lit with a controlled, deliberate beauty. The cinematography works close and in darkness, taking risks with angle and perspective, and an invented sign language between the couple gives the whole piece a universal quality. A strong narrative told through action rather than words, with emotion carried in the performers' eyes.
