Synopsis
Broken hearted and broke Kevin decides to end it all at the check out diner guided reluctantly by his ex-wife. Only the law, the cartels and new love can possibly change his mind.
Writer's Statement
I wrote this script as I also work in medicine where the importance of saving lives is rendered abstract by euthanasia. I wanted to explore euthanasia for a flawed motive using black comedy and show how there may sometimes still be light in a seemingly bleak place. But, ultimately, the script is about grief and how loss can take people to the darkest of places and, by quirk of fate, that light can be found in the most unlikely of places.
