Synopsis
A forgotten blues record found in youth becomes a compass for a man’s life, leading him from lost teenager to devoted musician in a story of memory, music, and calling.
Director's Statement
I was drawn to Jeb’s story because of its simplicity and power - how a single, chance discovery set him on a path that defined his life. Spending a day in his workshop, surrounded by instruments and stories, felt like stepping into the heart of what drives so many artists: passion, persistence, and love for the craft. This film is a quiet tribute to that spark and where it can lead.

A warm portrait built around a single craftsman and his workshop, this short gives its subject room to breathe and tell his own story. The panel found the content genuinely engaging and admired how the score and sound design hold the film to its topic, with structure and well-placed overlays that fit naturally into the storytelling. There is real affection here for the small human corners of Melbourne life, captured with a personal touch the panel warmed to.
