Negative space in the framing gives this short a confident visual signature, sharpened by a filmy grittiness and a desaturated palette that shifts from scene to scene. The opening, a car ride and moments at a party are immersive pieces of filmmaking, held together by assured direction and blocking that places each young performer with care. The panel found real authenticity in the ensemble, and a clear, genuine voice shaping the whole work.
