Biography

Hosein Khami was born in 1989 in Tehran, Iran. He has a master’s degree in digital design from University of Tabriz. He first started writing poetry in 2009. until 2017, he published three titles of poetry books in Iran by Fasle5 and Nasira Publications. He also photographed at the same time for 5 years and has collected a collection of photos in styles such as nature and travel. His motivation for filmmaking and storytelling began when he became very interested in Tarkovsky’s cinema and the French New Wave. Then he passed the filmmaking and writing course at Karnameh Art Institute between 2017 and 2019 to enter the world of cinema and story writting. In 2019, he made a short documentary about the street music festival in Bushehr, and so far he has written three short screenplays and a collection of short stories, and is currently a member of the Credit Fund of Iranian Artists. He collected a collection of photographs from nature of Iran and participated in the exhibition of the House of Iranian Artists and the Association of Young Photographers. He made his first short fiction film, Far away portrait of a woman in 2021, and is currently working on his next screenplay.
