Synopsis
Sahand needs a photo to complete his photo collection. In the days when darkness took over the city, he is surrounded by his own mental images. In his fantasies, he meets his mistress at a point in Iranian history at the same time as the Russian occupation, but the cycle of historical and bad events prevents this meeting until..
Director's Statement
History always repeats itself in us. For my contemporaries in Iran, historical memory plays an important role. We have not lived in the bitter history of Iran, but it is always present in our minds and it is as if we are living with our past. For a country like Iran, which has always been invasion and looting by foreign powers, and after which it has spent many bitter days inside and with domestic powers, history is constantly repeating itself. It is as if we are stuck in a vicious cycle of history and the past is constantly connected to our present and future. In this film, I tried to connect this historical past to the present, and it was important for me to show this concept through photography. Because I think history lives in our memory like a photo album. History is still alive in the photos, talking to us and flowing in our minds In this film, I see a small, pleasant and romantic house like my homeland, which is surrounded by historical tragedies. On the other side of the wall, there can be a bitter history or a miracle that we are all waiting for, which is why there is always a line between hope and despair in our minds.

Director's Biography
Hosein Khami Director
Hosein Khami was born in 1989 in Tehran, Iran. He has a master’s degree in digital design from University of Tabriz. He first started writing poetry in 2009. until 2017, he published three titles of poetry books in Iran by Fasle5 and Nasira Publications. He also photographed at the same time for 5 years and has collected a collection of photos in styles such as nature and travel. His motivation for filmmaking and storytelling began when he became very interested in Tarkovsky’s cinema and the French New Wave. Then he passed the filmmaking and writing course at Karnameh Art Institute between 2017 and 2019 to enter the world of cinema and story writting. In 2019, he made a short documentary about the street music festival in Bushehr, and so far he has written three short screenplays and a collection of short stories, and is currently a member of the Credit Fund of Iranian Artists. He collected a collection of photographs from nature of Iran and participated in the exhibition of the House of Iranian Artists and the Association of Young Photographers. He made his first short fiction film, Far away portrait of a woman in 2021, and is currently working on his next screenplay.
