Biography

When a young fugitive and ageing farmer come face to face, they struggle to let down their masks of masculinity and find the connection that they both need to face their grief and isolation.

From the Judges, on TENDERFOOT

Something about the look of this one held the panel: the warm tungsten of the interiors set against cool moonlight, framing and lighting handled with real care. The production and costume design drew admiration too, an environment built so completely that nothing in it broke the spell. There is a tension and release running between its performers that kept the panel engaged from beginning to end.

Curated, anonymised highlights drawn from the judges' notes.
