AFIN keeps this page for you. If your work has been recognised here there may be a membership waiting that we have had no way to deliver, because the address we hold belongs to whoever entered the film rather than to you.
This does not sign you in and does not change this page. It asks AFIN to check, and we write to you.

From the Judges, on The Liars of Black Mountain Road (2026)
From the Judges, on The Liars of Black Mountain Road
A quiet two-hander about a couple whose small lies and evasions curdle into a contest for moral high ground, held together by performances that carry far more beneath the dialogue than in it. The panel responded to the confident, beautifully composed camerawork and its uneasy match with the tone, and to direction restrained enough to let silence and a held look do the work. Sound design earns its place too, with careful foley and well-judged cuts that keep the tension taut.
From the Judges, on AS EASY AS CLOSING YOUR EYES (2024)
From the Judges, on AS EASY AS CLOSING YOUR EYES
A premise built around grief and a drug of reminiscence drew real warmth from the panel, and it stayed with them well after the final frame. They responded to the colour work and to visual effects used with restraint, arriving quietly and only where the story asks for them. Framing and shot choices hold the characters close, opening a very personal space and keeping us inside it.
