Biography

Vicky, vocalist and lyricist of the progressive soundtrack band Part of The Theory, makes her directorial debut with the band’s first music video, Famished Mammon. With a background in theatre studies and a strong instinct for visual storytelling, she brings a symbolic, ritualistic aesthetic to the screen. Deeply involved in every aspect of the production, Vicky approaches filmmaking as an extension of musical and theatrical expression. Famished Mammon reflects her fascination with themes of greed, decay, and spiritual hunger.

From the Judges, on FAMISHED MAMMON

A cross-genre score carries the piece, catchy and built on lyrics with real weight behind them. The panel responded to its imaginative shot choices, expressive lighting and costume work, and a slick sense of production design, all wrapped in a vibrant, confident colour grade. They found it a well shot, well produced short that plays as genuinely entertaining from start to finish.
