Director's Statement
I have been wanting to make a web series for quite some time. I have been making theatre for 18 years and love it, but I am such a fan of TV. The medium has had such a resurgence in the past 10 years and I am a big fan. For a writer, it offers a chance to keep the story going, to have characters who get to live more. I had worked as a storyliner at "Neighbours", and enjoyed that, but I am a creator and wanted to bring my own characters to life. Web series give writers the perfect chance to make their own version of TV. They can write their story and get it seen. I had researched the genre a lot before I started making it and but it wasn't until production that I realised how much I love the genre. People came together and worked so hard to make this dream a big reality. And they did an amazing job. The acting is sublime and I am genuinely shocked at the quality of production and post production. This is Australian Noir, a murder mystery, a genre that we haven't seem from many web series. There's a supernatural element, which I adore, and it is always important to me to have LGBT themes. This has made me very keen to get working on Season Two, which I am currently writing.
