Directors' Biography
Dae Hyun Kim Niko Yingqi Ren Directors
Dae Hyun Kim is born and raised from South Korea. He came to America when he was 16 years old as an international student. He found his passion for cinematography and studied during his college year at Columbia College Chicago. After working professionally in the Chicago film industry, to learn more in-depth about cinematography, he pursed studying at American Film Institute. With the help of his friends, Niko Yingqi Ren(AFI Directing 2020), Richard Tian You(AFI Production Design 2020), Augustine So(AFI Editor 2020), Dae Hyun created the film 'FARAWAY' based on his thoughts and feelings as an international student in America for his 35mm visual essay project in AFI's 2nd-year cinematography program
