Synopsis

An ancient horror lives in a Canyon, that no one can see and no one leaves. When a group of young students disappears, the search for answers begins.

FIRST SECTION: It is 1850. A group of men are leading a herd of cattle across Arnhem-Land. They discover a canyon through a small mountain range. Their map indicates there is no canyon. Their two Aboriginal trackers, warn of an ancient evil that lives there. Undeterred the wagon train enters the canyon and is wiped out. Present Day. A group of university activists against mining, discover the canyon. One of their groups is an aboriginal. She warns them against entering, half the group siding with her. The group that enters, realizes the danger and leaves. They find the group that didn’t enter, butchered., as they too are then killed. The Australian Defense Department, meet with the Prime Minister. They warn him of the missing students, in a canyon that no one can find. The Prime Minister decides to send in the SAS, posing as a rescue party. MIDDLE SECTION: Two spies, one a female from China and one a male from America, land in Darwin. They are both there to discover what is going on? They are also secretly in love. The American tells the Chinese counterpart, that his government intends to launch a nuclear weapon if the rescue party does not return. She passes it on, only to be warned her loyalty is under question. They both fly to Jabiru Resort in the Kakadu National Park, joining a rescue team. Before they enter the canyon, an SAS Sergeant, who is aboriginal, takes them to meet the local tribes’ elders. One elder breaks his oath and takes them to a sacred cave. It reveals that the aliens can be killed and are not Gods. Returning to the rescue party, they receive special weapons, the Australian SAS has been given illegally, by American Seal teams. Arriving at the canyon they are immediately ambushed, losing two men. Their weapons save them from losing more men. The next day they find the butchered activist. They are again attacked, before an alien spaceship blasts off, destroying the canyon. Unable to enter, they head towards Jabiru Resort, which is under attack. FINAL SECTION: Arriving at the place where they left their vehicles, they find SAS soldiers waiting. The SAS forces near Jabiru have lost half their men and the resort loses most of the reporters and tourists staying there. At least all the aliens were killed in the attack. It is then that they realize, they have been deceived. Returning to the canyon, they find a tunnel, which was not properly destroyed by the aliens. A party of twenty, including the Chinese agent and the American, enter the tunnel. They find the aliens have been making a gas. The aliens intend to flood the atmosphere, so their race can live on Earth. The SAS wire up the complex to explode, fighting the alien guards as they retreat. They escape and the mountain range goes sky-high. The Chinese agent and the American are listed as dead. For their help, the Australian Government lets them stay hidden in Australia. The End

A valley that no one can find and no one leaves. An ancient horror left alone for thousands of years. When a group of Activist, disappear in outback Australia, a search is started.

The Australian Military become worried, when the group of young students, disappears into a canyon, that doesn't exist! A flyover sees nothing. On the ground, it is visible. Discovering the valley lays under a cloak, making the area invisible. the army sends in a team of SAS soldiers, pretending to be a rescue party. Attached to the group, is an American engineer and a Chinese tourist, both spies for their countries. They unknown to their masters, are also in love. Together the group, try to find answers to what is going on, while a Naval Battle Group approaches Australia, to either solve the problem, of Nuke the area. Heroes. Peter Grey a CIA agent seeks to find out what is going on, while protecting Suzy his lover and a Chinese agent. Suzy Yang, a beautiful Chinese agent. she seeks to keep her affair hidden while trying to protect Peter, the man she loves. Captain Wilton and Captain Stealer, of the SAS. They seek to protect their country from what lies within the canyon. The Protagonist. A creature known to the Aborigines, for a thousand years, as Jabakar. It uses it's minion, powerful creature of another world, to prevent anyone getting close to its secret. A secret which will wipe out life on Earth.

Theme. Jabakar is an alien race. They have been on Earth for over a thousand years. Their plan, is to change the atmosphere, making it's race able to breathe on Earth. When their secret becomes known, they leave their minions to protect their facility, retreating into space. A timer, to release the gas, is counting down. Their only weakness, is their gas is similar to methane and combustible. In the end our heroes, manage to ignite the gas, before it can be released, destroying their facility, hidden in the mountains.

Director's Biography

I am sixty-five years young and promise not to have a heart attack, while on your set. I am married with a wife, and two daughters, and two grandchildren. Was mostly employed in the Security industry, while playing soldier in the army reserve. Retired, and moved north to the North Coast of NSW Australia. I now have time to write, for the fun of it, although recognition of one of my scripts is high on my bucket list. Have had some successes: 2005 Finalist in 2005 Norpa Script Writers Contest, The Railway Station Master. 2018 We Screenplay Competition.
