It's In Your Hands

Synopsis

Younger generations are the ones to be impacted by choices made by the older generation. Current leaders need to make decisions on long term goals rather than short term economics. This film focuses on individual cycles of human’s impact on the environment.

Director's Biography

Talitha Huston Director

I was given my first camera when I was three years old and I took thousands of photos and videos. Between the ages of 11-13 I entered my short art films in the Darlington Art Festival. As my interest in the environment grew I started to use the photos I had taken to write a bird book, Birds of the Perth Hills, which has sold over 5000 copies in under 2 years. I did many presentations and included a short film on birds as part of my presentation. I also made a film in year 12 about humans’ impact on the environment. It is called It's in Your Hands and it was selected for the WA Media Perspectives 2021. It was chosen to be the final exhibit of the showcase. My dream would be to make films that highlight environment issues and solutions and encourage a brighter future.
