Synopsis

Valentino Filimon is a Filmmaker who has recently created a short film called “SUGA RUSH” which he plans to turn into a feature length film, completely set in Queensland, showcasing Queensland as Australia’s Hollywood. Glamorising Australia like never before.

"SUGA RUSH" was shot & edited entirely on an iPhone 13 Pro MAX, which showcased the beautiful Gold Coast Australia.

Valentino Filimon shot and edited this film on practically zero-budget & designed entirely himself, from set design, costumes to overall film aesthetic.

This short film was created for the purpose to sell the general idea to his feature length film. The beauty of the feature length movie is that it is catered to all demographics and offers all kinds of genres within the one movie; Crime, Thriller, Action, Adventure, Romance, Fantasy, Noir and a tint of Comedy. A fever dream. An escape from this reality. A mixture of the 1950's and 1980's. An artistic, surreal world of it's own.

I am not here to follow the norm but escape it. I don’t follow the trends and patterns, I follow what I feel. I am currently looking for solid producers and investors who genuinely understand and adore my work and see the potential in my vision. What I create with my iPhone is only a small portion of what I hold in my mind. Give me a high quality crew and a big budget and I will create something like never before. Something Nostalgic, Iconic and so Memorable.

Valentino Filimon Director

Valentino Filimon was originally born in Australia. He is of Romanian descent. He has been working in the Arts since a young boy, now an upcoming Filmmaker working on making his mark in the industry. His inspiration and passion comes from the quality and sophistication for the classic era, in his own words; ''An era that offered quality over quantity.'' Valentino aims to bring exuberance through his work and an escape from the norm.
