Synopsis
TOMMY is the emotionally-charged story of a young boy and his imaginary friend caught in the middle of a nasty custody battle. He escapes his trauma by entering his dream-like world set inside a submarine, but as the feud between his parents reaches boiling point, both worlds collide.
Director's Statement
Tommy was a subject matter that I had been passionate about for sometime, so when I came across the script I was incredibly excited to be a part of it. The idea of a young boy in the midst of a custody battle and retreating into his fantasy world, where he's literally in a battle with an unseen enemy, felt like an incredible gateway to bring the audience into this child's perspective. Producer Darren Mort gave me the confidence to jump into the deep end of this complex subject matter with his countless years of experience within family law. I was fortunate enough to work with an incredibly passionate cast and crew, and believe that this is an important story that needs to be told. To shed light on this issue in any way is critical for the many children still at battle. Regards, Scott Dale
