From the Judges
Pure popcorn pleasure was the reaction here: a horror thrill ride that commits to its own sense of fun and never lets up. The subterranean lair, with all its scientific experimentation, drew real enthusiasm from the panel, as did the sound design and costuming that give that world its texture. Running through it all is a streak of humour and unabashed joy in the playing.
