Dean's film making career began in 2001 when he wrote and directed the independent short film JACK STRAW. His second short film MY DAD VICTOR followed in 2004, and another in 2005 HEADS UP, which won several Australian and international awards. Dean took time off directing to work in the film and TV industry in the camera and sound departments before deciding to produce and direct THE WRONG BARBER in 2019.
