Synopsis
Two spies spend an emotional evening together before one must leave on a dangerous mission - or so he says...
Writer's Statement
"Goodbye, Spy" is a tragic romance (with an apocalyptic twist) inspired by the likes of Linklater’s "Before Sunrise", Hitchcock’s "To Catch a Thief" and the classic spy films of the 60s & 70s. It was designed to fit within a strict set of limitations: to be shot over a three day weekend with two actors in a single location. Built like a play and providing opportunities to showcase cinematography, art direction, sound design, and VFX skills - "Goodbye, Spy" is a genre-hopping short form experiment layered with meaning and littered with clues.

Harry Sweby Taylah Cate Writers
Harry Sweby is a screenwriter, director, producer and script supervisor based in Brisbane, Australia. With previous experience as a Development Executive at Dicentium Films, he is currently working to bring genre-blending Aussie stories to international audiences. Taylah Cate is a Brisbane-based filmmaker establishing her voice in a variety of formats - events, short films, and music videos - building on previous experience as a Producer's Assistant at Radioactive Pictures. Taylah Made Films, her burgeoning production company, is launching an exciting slate with her directorial debut "Goodbye, Spy".
