A new mother tries to rest after a nasty fall, but is unsettled when her baby son seems to advance impossibly fast while in her husband's care.
What makes this one special
From the Judges
From the Judges
A speculative short that lets an ordinary, restful surface give way to something stranger, this screenplay drew the panel in with a genuinely inventive concept. They found the dialogue natural and true to life, and the whole piece moves at a nicely judged pace. It reads as fresh and unusual, the kind of premise that stays with a reader.
