Synopsis
In tropical North Queensland, locals must share the coast with saltwater crocodiles, one of nature’s most successful apex predators. With fatalities on both sides of the conflict, is it possible to achieve a peaceful co-existence between man and ‘monster’?

A simple, effective score carries this short, sitting easily alongside vivid wildlife footage and well-sourced archival material. The panel responded to the structure, the way interviews and stories from all sides of a long-running argument are woven together so the audience is invited to weigh the question for themselves. It struck them as warm, unhurried storytelling on a subject that rarely gets this much light shed on it.
Director's Biography
Sinéad Reynolds Director
Sinead is a Scottish director and producer and recent graduate with an MA in Directing and Producing Science and Natural History. With a background in Zoology and Ecology, her passion for storytelling grew from her travels and time spent immersing herself in new places. Living in the Daintree Rainforest her curiosity for the natural world led her towards filmmaking. Sinead’s work explores the connection between humans and nature. Through her films, she aims to provoke reflection on our role as part of our ever-changing natural world.
