Synopsis

A modern adaptation of Aleksey Konstantinovich Tolstoy’s 1839 short story “The Family of the Vourdalak”, in which a man recounts a harrowing night trapped inside his sisters family home, held under siege by a vampire.

Shannon Glover is an Australian writer, director, and independent filmmaker based in New South Wales who loves atmospheric, character-driven short-form cinema, often drawing on psychological horror and grounded genre storytelling. His work includes the short film In a Place Like This, which follows an isolated outback figure with a dark internal secret and is currently finishing its festival run. His Influences include filmmakers such as David Lynch, John Carpenter, and Denis Villeneuve, as well as writers like Stephen King and Cormac McCarthy.
