Biography

I am a 36-year-old writer/director based in New South Wales, I draw inspiration from the likes of Stephen King, Cormac McCarthy, Dennis Lehane, and Richard Matheson. My screen influences include visionary filmmakers such as David Lynch, David Cronenberg, Steven Spielberg, Stanley Kubrick, Robert Eggers, John Carpenter, and Denis Villeneuve.

Passionate and driven, I am deeply optimistic about the future of filmmaking in Australia and the stories we have yet to tell. I aim to connect with fellow filmmakers, festival organizers, and likeminded creatives to bring bold and compelling narratives to life.

From the Judges, on Of My Blood (2026)

From the Judges, on Of My Blood

Gothic horror rendered as a domestic siege, where a simple rule about a door carries the whole weight of the story. The panel responded to the clarity of its premise and the way every beat tightens the pressure, with the interrogation frame giving the piece a clean shape and a satisfying circularity. Compact and efficient across its length, this screenplay demonstrates real command of horror mechanics and builds a monster whose power comes from knowing exactly what a family loves.

From the Judges, on IN A PLACE LIKE THIS

A slasher set in the Australian bush, this short drew admiration for the way it reworks a familiar genre and for the polish of its craft. The editing, the colour work, and the practical wound and blood effects all landed strongly with the panel, as did cinematography that lets the natural landscape carry real atmosphere, and a title sequence whose camera movement pulled them straight into the story. The score sits neatly with the visuals, and the campfire song stayed with them as a memorable moment.
