Synopsis

Reeling from a messy breakup, a woman’s understanding of the world - and how to find happiness in it - is fundamentally altered by three people she meets in her local coffee shop. A tightly written, dreamy Australian arthouse film, The Song of Colour is a moving celebration of kindness, of real connection in an increasingly isolated world. For her, and for the audience, we get the sense that everything might actually be ok.

On the nomination

In a world increasingly distracted by the stressful urgency of shortform content and constant communication, we wanted a film that could act as an antidote to that and - hopefully - let everyone feel like things will be ok. We're delighted and honoured to be a part of AFIN International Film Festival! Being a part of a great festival in the film's hometown is always a treat.

Add it to IMDb

IMDb adds festival awards from the festival's event page, not from your film's page.

  1. Open the AFIN International Film Festival event page on IMDb and choose the 2026 edition.
  2. Choose Edit (contribute), then Awards, and add your film under the category (Best Feature Film and Best Cinematography) with the outcome shown on your laurels above.
  3. Submit. IMDb reviews it and publishes it to the event page and to your film's page.
