Biography
Les Zig is an author, screenwriter, and director. He’s written and directed short-form content ranging from comedy to drama to action, and is currently working on a horror feature. His screenplays have placed in over one hundred competitions. He’s also had six novels published, and his short stories and articles have appeared in print and digital journals. From the Judges, on Rotate
The speed-dating format gives this short its engine, each rotating encounter sharpening the comedy while a quieter sense of loneliness builds underneath. Vibrant, clean cinematography and inventive editing keep the structure moving, and the sequences that blur reality and imagination add a welcome layer of depth. The panel found real pleasure in how confidently the concept is executed across such a compact running time.
