Synopsis
The first music video ever produced entirely in isolation; “Diamonds” is a spirited account of life brought to a stand-still across the globe, at the very beginning of the 2020 Pandemic.
A Note from the Filmmakers
The 'Diamonds' Music Video is an inspirational undertaking of multi-cultural digital unity consisting of a team of producers, editors, filmmakers, photographers, graphic artists and administration professionals. The footage was purposely shot by over 500 contributors in 40 countries via Zoom meetings, Facetime, social media messages and thousands of emails. But most impressive was not how a team of experienced professionals expanded their comfort zones to work within social distancing guidelines and lockdown restrictions. Hundreds of Timmy Trumpet fans collaborated with the producers to capture and share authentic moments in real time from their lives. The footage was shot on everything from top of the line ARRI cameras to everyday iPhones. In order to release the final product in a timely manner our team were faced with an incredibly challenging deadline. Working tirelessly around the clock, the entire production from concept to completion took 14 days. We received thousands of positive messages full of positivity and hope in a time that was filled with so much uncertainty. The project was a very rewarding experience for everyone involved and especially as my first production as a Director, one I'll surely never forget.

From the Judges
From the Judges
A celebration of people scattered across the world finding each other through dance and music, this piece moves between empty countryside and striking modern architecture with sharp camera work and a real eye for landscape. The panel responded to the editing, which plays with transitions in a way that suits the energy of the track and carries a genuine warmth. Even with quick snapshots of many scenes, they found the pacing easy to follow, and it struck them as a joyful, generous piece of work.
