From the Judges, on Sisters of the Immaculate Green (2026)

From the Judges, on Sisters of the Immaculate Green

A convent facing closure, a leaking roof, a ruined garden, and a ledger that will not balance set the stage for an ensemble comedy that runs on lively, character-driven dialogue and a sharply drawn sisterhood. The panel enjoyed the collision of faith, community duty, and wildly improper enterprise, held together by distinct comic voices and a warm emotional centre about service and belonging.

From the Judges, on THE CELEBRANT (2025)

From the Judges, on THE CELEBRANT

Clever, consistently engaging writing carries this short into a corner of life that comedy rarely visits, and the laughs land through a lead performance of real range alongside an ensemble where every speaking role registers. The panel took to the production design, which fills each space with intention, and to camerawork and lighting that keep the whole piece vibrant. It struck them as an original and warmly made piece of Australian filmmaking, a passion project in the best sense.
