Synopsis
Cheryl once joked with her colleague Brian that their security jobs at the heritage museum would be the death of them. Just when she thought she couldn’t survive another graveyard shift, and…she didn’t. She meets up with Brian who recently met his own fate of being 'buried' under paperwork. Their friendship is taken to the literal next level as Cheryl comes to terms with her new found existence. Brian has never had the courage to express his feelings for Cheryl but perhaps now may just be the right opportunity? Like true dilettantes, they join superficial forces to rattle the chains of anyone who has ever crossed them.
Director's Statement
The vision behind 'Last Graveyard Shift' was to play to the actor's comedic strengths and to also capture the 'spooky' aesthetic of working on a night shift by yourself. We aimed to keep the pace light hearted, whilst still touching on the more emotional notes and every day moments we miss, or sometimes take for granted. Like, telling someone how we really feel.

Director's Biography
Hayden Franklin Director
Hayden Franklin is an Australian born filmmaker whose love of film led him to Vancouver Film School (VFS) where he attended and graduated with a Diploma in Film Production (Honours). This led to the directing of the short film Motherboard at VFS which toured the global film festival circuit and won the best comedy scene award at the Las Vegas Film Festival. Since returning to Australia in 2017, Hayden has immersed himself in the film industry and currently runs his own production company called ‘On The Day Films’. Whilst he mostly shoots and directs commercial projects, Hayden hopes to do more narrative work in the future.
