Synopsis
A boat of sea weary refugees and asylum seekers made it to a remote uninhabited part of Australia, only to realize Hell has only just begun. As the world becomes more Dangerous, doors are shut and walls come up . Nations that once offered hope are now burning with the fire of hate, discrimination and insanity . Mass exodus of people is inevitable when lands and governments becomes inhospitable .
Director's Statement
Millions of people are displaced across the globe. Many are trapped in wastelands and dead lands; many more have drowned in the seas while fleeing conflict zones. Refugees are crossing borders making many governments nervous, unbalancing internal politics and giving rise to nationalism, racism and xenophobia. As the world becomes more dangerous doors are shut and walls come up. This movie is based on real life stories and events. Many of the scenes in this film are drawn from real life experiences and events. In the 90s as a very young boy, by accident or chance, I found myself on a boat in west Africa, we Sailed through the Atlantic Ocean for days an experience I can only describe as hell on water. I eventually got lost in the very heart of Africa and continued my journey through central and Southern Africa picking up languages, experiencing different cultures but above all picking up survival skills. I hope to document my story in a future book I plan to write. Survive or Die is a glimpse into my memories and a picture of what many continue to face today. It is a self funded independent movie filmed on locations in New South Wales, Australia.

Directors' Biography
Daniel Okoduwa Mike Kang Directors
DANIEL OKODUWA Daniel Okoduwa is a Sydney based African - Australian film director, producer and screenwriter. In 2002, Daniel first tried his hands on filmmaking when he got his friends together for a feature titled 'Death is a Diamond.' The film tells of a bunch of diamonds that were illegally smuggled into Australia from Africa, thus making him the first African to ever produce a film in Australia. Daniel would later team up with Korean born and Sydney based filmmaker Mike Kang to produce a drama titled 'Gossip Nation' a film that earned him the best emerging film producer at THE SPA AWARDS (Screen Producers of Australia) in 2012. The SPA AWARDS earned Daniel a trip to the AFM in Santa Monica, California, USA. His trip to Hollywood exposed him to a new way of thinking and writing. By late 2015 Daniel began writing Survive or Die, once again inviting his friend Mike Kang to help bring the story to reality.
