Synopsis
After a career ending injury, an ex-Rugby star meets an eccentric angel who thrusts him into an outlandish and confronting journey that changes him forever.
I'm Good is more than a short film, it is a social campaign and a cinematic response to concerning statistics. Men make up an average of seven out of nine suicides every single day in Australia. And this needs to change. Changes start with small steps. And for many, the healing journey starts with acknowledging our own current mental state, without judgement or shame. No one should suffer alone. So we hope to shed light on this important conversation, and encourage people to share, and listen. In addition to acceptance and love for isolated individuals like Eddie, our story is more than just a tale about the crisis of mental health in our country, but a creative aim to break the stigmas so we can contribute towards progressive and supportive change.
Director's Statement
The opportunity to direct "I'm Good" came as a resonating serendipitous event for me, with the key message and themes sitting strong with my values - I'm extremely thrilled and humbled to be part of the project to help extinguish damaging stigmas that only hinder men in every aspect of their lives.
