Synopsis

An uprising stirs when a Sheriff raises taxes and uses violence to punish those who can’t pay. The oppressed seek support from the dangerous Wood Elves, who have their own designs on the city they were once banished from.

Director's Statement

Stuart Brennan.

Wood Elves fighting for their city back. So many themes that we are dealing with today; displacement, taxation, dictatorships. All wrapped up unassumingly in a fantasy thriller. I made this movie because it's the sort of story I enjoy reading and so few movies are made like this. Our legendary DOP Doug Milsome ASC, BSC who worked for many years with Kubrick, really took our cinematography to another level. The cast we assembled are fantasy and sci-fi royalty. It was a very difficult movie to make and I'll be personally attending each screening of the film and look forward to Q&A's and helping to promote each festival that supports us with a selection. Thank you for taking the time to watch the movie and I hope you enjoy it.

What makes this one special

From the Judges

From the Judges

An inventive fantasy with real imagination at work in the world it builds. The production design drew genuine admiration from the panel, made with evident care and effort across the film. The performances from its antagonists landed strongly as well.
