Synopsis

At Sturnley’s Supamart, a faded family grocery store, awkward checkout clerk Nora dreams of singing the store jingle. But when a customer mistakes small talk for life-changing wisdom, Nora is thrust into the spotlight as the store’s new mascot. Overnight, she’s elevated from trainee to the face of the Sturnley empire, caught between her power-hungry father, her jealous brother, and the zealous locals. As Nora’s influence spirals into absurdity, she must decide whether to stick to the script or use her own voice.

Director's Biography

Trinity Leigh Director

Trinity Leigh is a 24-year-old writer/director based on the Gold Coast, QLD. She works as a production assistant on local film productions and as a freelance director and production manager for Cubit Creative Co. Trinity grew up in the Blue Mountains in NSW. She loved studying music, writing, and acting, and didn’t want to have to pick one, so she chose film directing, believing (very earnestly) that it would allow her to do it all. She studied film at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2021 and graduates from Griffith Film School in 2025. Trinity was the coordinating writer and producer for the web series Bush Bash (2025), which received three nominations and won Best Sound Design at the Sydney Web Fest and was selected for Melbourne Web Fest. She often gravitates towards telling parabolic stories that are as silly as they are sincere.
